About The Author
Robin Sylvester is a lifelong Minnesotan, wife, mother, grandmother, retired state executive, and follower of Jesus Christ. Born and raised in the Twin Cities, she has spent her life serving others through family, faith, public service, and community leadership.
Robin and her husband, John, have shared more than three decades of marriage, raising three children while navigating the challenges of military life, career moves, and the many seasons of family life. Together, they built a life rooted in perseverance, service, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Throughout her career, Robin held leadership positions with several Minnesota state agencies and retired in 2024 after serving as an executive leader with the Minnesota Department of Transportation. She also stepped forward as a candidate for Crow Wing County Commissioner, driven by her passion for community, accountability, and positive change.
Today, Robin and John enjoy life in the Crosslake area, surrounded by the people they cherish most. Of all her titles, "Grandma" is her favorite.
